On average, the Pasco County Jail system, composed as it is of these two facilities, is responsible for the detention of 1,222 inmates, according to surveys carried out in 2008. 
In the same year, according to the study, the Land O’ Lakes and New Port Richey Pasco County Jail facilities admitted 37,666 individuals. All male offenders and suspects for misdemeanors and felonies found guilty or due to be tried in the Pasco County Jail system are admitted to these two facilities. Moreover, the Pasco County Jail system also provides for the detention of female suspects similarly charged or sentenced, and those between the ages of 14 and 17 who are to be tried as adults.
Pasco County Jail inmates can be visited once a week, for a period lasting up to an hour, and including three different visitors. Pasco County Jail visits can be scheduled by phone, online, or by mail. Pasco County Jail inmates can compose a list of acceptable visitors consisting of up to 15 different individuals. Overly casual or otherwise attire is not accepted for visitors and can result in their being discharged before a scheduled visit. Visitors should arrive at Pasco County Jail with half an hour to spare to allow for processing.
 

Lee County Jail

Lee County Jail is administered by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and includes Main Jail, Core, and Community Program Unit facilities. People outside the Lee County Jail are not permitted to call current inmates directly, but may be patched in by the Sheriff’s Office in the event of a family medical emergency.
The ability to visit an inmate in Lee County Jail can be dispensed based on approval from the inmate, who is given the chance to compose an “Inmate Visitation List” of five people. Children less than a year’s old can be allowed to visit without being placed on the Inmate Visitation List. 
In addition, clergypeople and the personal attorney of the inmate can also be approved for visiting someone currently being kept in Lee County Jail. The Inmate Visitation List will be drawn up and submitted within a week of an inmate’s entrance to Lee County Jail. Specific visitation times will be set, then, for the week on the preceding Sunday, again by the Lee County Jail inmates, rather than the visitors.
Visitors should allow half an hour for processing and if 16 years of age or older must have some form of identification issued by the government and with a photograph of themselves. Visitors less than 18 will only be allowed to enter under adult supervision, as must be maintained for the remainder of the visit. 

Lake County Jail

Lake County Jail is officially designated as the Lake County Detention Center. The facility has the capacity for keeping 960 inmates for overnight stays, and is maintained by a staff of 300 officers. Among Lake County Jail personnel, 206 are officially sworn in as Detention Deputies, while 95 are considered civilians.
Lake County Jail inmates can receive two visits each week. Each visit to a Lake County Jail inmate can last for up to 1 hour. Past inmates in Lake County Jail are not accorded visitation rights to the facility for the space of a year and 11 days following their release from incarceration. Domestic abuse victims cannot visit the Lake County Jail inmate charged in the offense without court approval. Visitation can occur during any point during the week except on Monday. Prospective visitors to Lake County Jail under 12 years of old will not be admitted to visitation, and visitors between 12 and 17 must be with their parent or adult guardian. 
Casual and inappropriate attire will result in Lake County Jail visitors being turned away. All mail sent to inmates in Lake County Jail is subject to search and based on content felt to be offensive, provocative, or otherwise inappropriate, will instead be sent back. Mail must be sent on postcards between 5”7 by 7” and 3.5” by 4.5”. 

Manatee County Jail

Manatee County Jail is located in Palmetto, Florida and can be found at 14470 Harlee Road. Current Manatee County Jail are limited to receiving correspondence mailed in the specific form of a postcard and money orders made out to be payable to the Manatee County Jail’s Inmate Account service. 
The main facility of the Manatee County Jail has an estimated holding capacity for around a thousand inmates, and is supplemented by a smaller section which has the capacity for holding around 400 people. As of summer 2010, surveys of the Manatee County Jail inmate population found that the facility was holding exactly 999 inmates. Reports have also criticized the county government and particularly the sheriff’s office for not devoting what are felt to be sufficient resources to the task of adequately managing Manatee County Jail and its large inmate population.
In this view, which has been put forward by local publications, Manatee County Jail is no longer adequately staffed and maintained due to reductions in the county’s budget. As a result of economization, it is now estimated that Manatee County Jail falls short of its personnel requirements by almost 100 deputies. Criticism of the Manatee County Jail has also focused on its comparative lack of success in rehabilitating inmate, due to the high number who enters the facility on repeated occasions. 
Manatee County Jail authorities have, however, managed to offer an array of vocational tasks for their inmates, which include the preparation of most of its food as well as a range of agricultural and industrial tasks.

Collier County Jail

Collier County Jail is located in Naples, Florida and can be located at 3301 Tamiami Trail East in Building J of the overall facilities maintained by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. The Collier County Jail holds people prior to being tried in court. Inmates being kept in Collier County Jail may also be kept in the Immokalee Jail Center. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the determination of whether the Collier County Jail or the Immokalee Jail Center is selected for an individual inmate is not made based primarily on the nearness of the inmate’s place of residence to the facility chosen.
Visitation is allowed for the Collier County Jail, but not in person. The Sheriff’s Office instead offers Video Visitation to allow visitors to speak with people being kept in the Collier County Jail. Collier County Jail inmates are allowed to schedule visits for any day of the week, but can only receive two visitors for every individual week and can only be visited once on any given day. 
The Video Visitation services at Collier County Jail are available from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the morning, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the afternoon, and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the evening. Bonds can be posted for Collier County Jail inmates either by paying cash, submitting a cashier’s check, using Western Union, or through a Surety Bond administered by a bonding company. Almost all mail, unless received through attorney’s privilege or some other special circumstance, is subject to being searched by Collier County Jail authorities. 

Sarasota County Jail

Sarasota County Jail is located in Sarasota, Florida at 2020 Main Street. Sarasota County Jail authorities can be contacted at (941) 861-4165. Sarasota County Jail receives, on average, between 50 and 60 inmates on a daily basis. Sarasota County Jail is staffed by around 300 different employees. The entrance to the Sarasota County Jail includes four chairs and eight holding cells for inmates going through the booking process. The Booking Section also provides for the release of prisoners from Sarasota County Jail.
Sarasota County Jail is administered by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. Information about this facility or other correctional functions within the county can be obtained at the Sheriff’s Office website. The arrests made in the county and accordingly resulting in people being held in the Sarasota County Jail can be viewed online, with details of the individuals’ identities as well as of the offenses with which they are charged.
While inmates are being held at Sarasota County Jail, they can receive three visits on a weekly basis, each of which can last for up to fifty minutes and can include up to two people. Visitors must identify themselves with a photo ID, and under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and present proof of age. Under the age of 12, visitors will not be admitted to Sarasota County Jail. Visitors will not normally be accepted on Wednesday, and must dress appropriately. All mail, with the exception of approved communications, is subject to search.

Dade county jail

Prisoners being held before sentencing or for other reasons in Miami, Florid may be incarcerated in the specific facility of Dade County Jail. This facility, also called the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center, is among several such facilities maintained by the Corrections and Rehabilitation department of the county, with others being the Women’s Detention Center, the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, the Metro West Detention Center, and the Training and Treatment Center.

In addition to Escambia County Jail, inmates may also be held by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at the Central Booking and Detention Facility. Escambia County Jail has the holding capacity for imprisoning over 1600 inmates at a time.

Duval county jail

Jacksonville, Florida has a prisoner holding facility located at 500 East Adams Street, operated by the Duval County Sheriff’s Office and referred to either as Duval County Jail or the John E. Goode Pretrial Detention Facility, reachable at (904) 630-5747. In addition, the Duval County Sheriff’s Office can also choose to send prisoners to the James I. Montgomery Center, located at 4727 Lannie Road, or the Community Transition Center, at 451 Catherine Street.

Volusia county jail

In Daytona Beach, Florida, prisoners can be kept in the Volusia County Jail detention facility, or to the Volusia County Correctional Facility. First Appearances in court for people being held on legal charges can take place in a courtroom reserved for this purpose in the Volusia County Jail. Visitation rights for Volusia County Jail inmates are reserved, for the first 72 hour period of incarceration, to immediate family members of the prisoner in question.

Main Street, Tavares, Florida, and is called the Lake County Detention Center, serving to hold up to around 960 prisoners, administered to by 300 personnel, including 206 sworn-in deputies. Lake County Jail inmates are each accorded two one-hour visits a week, though not from people previously imprisoned in the same facility 366 days or less before the desired visitation date. Under 12 years of age, visitors are disallowed.
